New Ram Exhaust

Well it's time! Gonna do a muffler swap on my 10 Ram 1500 with the hemi. I'm looking at putting magnaflow or flowmaster. I had the true duel magnaflow on my 04 hemi and loved how it sounded. Do you guys have any feedback on what you guys have heard on these trucks?

So what muffler did you put on your truck? Or you put just the k+n cold air intake on it?

I have a single magnaflow drop in muffler on my 07 and had it on my 06 as well. K&N drop in filter. Sounds great. Great bang for the buck.

We have done lots of Rams with intakes and exhaust. We like the Magnaflow cat back system the best as it gives a great sound along with fitting well. As for intakes, we do mostly Airaid and K&N, both are a good choice and you will notice a good increase in TQ right off the bottom. I personally run the Magnaflow cat back with Airaid MXP intake. The best mod you can do for fuel economy and power on the 2010 and older Rams is the Superchips Flashpaq or Cortex with trans tuning in my opinion.

For you 2011+ owners Bullydog just got through the encryption and has there tuner on preorder!

Bully dog is taking pre orders but you won't see it till dec-jan? they have 10 to release in the next couple of weeks but by now all spoken for. I see you have a 10 so get a diablo sport tuner or superchips is the way to go

I installed a 14" magnaflow on mine and changed out the y pipe with a magnaflow y pipe since the factory one is BRUTAL. I have a S&B CAI and it's top 3 on the hemi forums. Other one to look at are vararam (wicked cool and best one) airaid which a lot of people say it's not a true CAI and Volant are the ones you want to buy. Next decision you have is cut out or leave the resonators in the rear!

Diablosport will have tuning for 2011+ soon as well.

The Volant CAI does not fit worth a crap IMO the scoop does not line up with the fender and when you get it close, it has a space so your drawing air from under your hood.

The Airaid MXP is a CAI, it draws air from the same place as the S&B and Volant only difference is that it does not have a 'lid' but rather weather stripping that seals to the hood, the fit to the fender inlet is alot better than the Volant as well..

I just signed up for beta testing on the Bullydog site. We'll see if I lucky enough to get picked.

For what it's worth...I personally, wouldn't give Bully Dog a dime for a pre-order. I would wait until the product is tested and released by someone else like Diablosport or whomever.

Given Bully Dogs history - see Chinese diesel injector nozzles melting down Cummins motors, Chinese injection parts for VWs, dropping support for DPF/EGR, selling tuners and dropping all support for them less than three 3 years later: Triple Dog, Power Pup and on and on and on.

Why anyone would want support a company that has a history of bailing on it's customers and selling them inferior products is beyond me.

Gobble Gobble, happy thanksgiving.
