Sea Can

We are going to be moving in a few weeks and the new place doesn't have a shop or garage so I'm in need of a sea can. Does anyone have any good contacts for acquiring one? I was thinking about a 20' one. Is there a weight limit I can put in? Thanks for any info!

knucklestripper is on a distinguished road
You can try Western Storage on Dugald road in Wpg. Bought a 53' there a year ago. Price was best i found locally. I talked with Rick Froese don't know if he's still there though. They had all sizes then.

Railside Containers. Ask for Tony. I bought a container from him. Best price, best service, and no Bullshit.

I shopped around, you would be suprised how much prices are jacked up at some places.

Hard to find good used, as the economy has improved, they are being used now! I had to buy new (used once.)

I got a 40 ft unit. As for how much weight it can hold, its all written on the can, they can hold alot!

Make sure you have alot of room for the delivery truck, and you make sure they come down and make sure they can fit, or they will just drop it an leave it where they can, then you figure the rest out!

I had a delivery truck driver that did just that, that was a 3rd party delivery driver.

All the best,

Shoe.

Yep talked to a buddy who got one from him for $2800. I just called Western and they want $3900 delivered. Even if I pay $150 for delivery I'm still $900 ahead. Thx.

weight limit not standardized but for a typical 20 footer looking at:

INSIDE LENGTH 19’4”
INSIDE WIDTH 7’8”
INSIDE HEIGHT 7’10”
DOOR WIDTH 7’8”
DOOR HEIGHT 7’6”
CAPACITY 1,172 sq feet
TARE WEIGHT 4,916 pounds
MAX. CARGO 47,999 pounds

on a 40 footer max. loading weight a little higher at almost 60,000 pounds with almost a 9,000 pound tare weight.
40 footers also come in std height and talls.
