I worked at TX for 17 years and saw that unit take off one time back in the day. I swear to the big guy above that plane was 20 feet higher than the shop. I was in the shunt truck (drove for 9 years) watching this plane take off. WHAT A SITE, i'll never ever forget that day. The power and how slow it seemed to move at height. Amazing

You don't realize how crooked you drive till you do it in highspeed. Lol

I tried to miss most of them. It's easier the second day on the same road, yesterday I think I hit everyone.

Let's do the math.... I was driving around 100 or so with the camera set to 1 frame every 1/4 second at a play back rate of 20 fps (I think, might have been 30 fps) which means 1 second equals 5 seconds of driving time x 100 kph = 500 kph.... I think.... I don't have a pencil in front of me to scratch it out to double check. Lol

And that SUV was speeding.

That is about a 30-35 min run done in 2.5....which would mean 1000 kph...? Lol... Oh my head is hurting.

EDIT:

New math, it is exactly 100 kilometers round trip, so 50 one way in 2.5 mins = 50 kilometers x 60 mins = 3000 kph divide by 2.5min = 1200kph lol (I think)

Ouch. I went to Wpg on Saturday and they were cleaning one up that laid down on the bypass. I was trying to figure out how he was pointing east on the west bound side after he laid it down. It was just by the west railroad overpass.

south Taylor Hill - Taylor BC. - up close to Fort St. John BC
lots of snow out there, saw a couple of sleds out
was pulled off at a brake check, just jumped back in the truck
a guy came in way too hot and his flat deck slid out and rubbed the side of my truck.
just what i needed.

A little slick up there, got to about 5-6 inches deep.

had to take the long way around a set of really steep switchbacks north of
Ft. St. John to Rose prairie BC.
got away with out chaining up but it was close.
getting out empty sucked.
70 kms/hr spinning on the flat road, pushing slush.

been running a Drift HD cam lately, hopefully theres some good vid comin yet :)
heres a clip of the nice roads.

(oops, file is a bit big 9mg, have to figure out conversions for uploading yet LOL)

That video is nice and clear.

Do you let it record steady? If so, how long does it record or dOes it loop itself?

no i have the remote hanging off my trailer brake spike.
then hit record when i'm in "high incident area's" LOL
it records pretty much instantly when the button on the remote is touched
that video is recorded at 720p - on high def (1080) is even better
but the file size is huge.
with the 32G card im not even sure how long i can record - lots anyway
color is good on the camera.
its just like a go-pro just different LOL
alot smaller too.
can take stills 9mp i think and time lapse.
back of the camera is nicely accessible to plug in to 12v and run an external mic.
while recording.
was thinking about buying a dash cam, that loops when full.
but wasnt impressed with the vid quality.
and now i can use it for whatever.
so far i really like it.
built in mic is kinda useless tho. havent tried an external yet.
need to put an external out back by the straight pipe stacks while the jake is on :)

The first crossing is the CP line by the Mb/SK border, north of the CN main line. The 2nd one at the 2:10 mark is the main line at Hwy22 by Gerald, about 2 miles before the train bridge over the Cutarm behind the potash mine.

If you go through Gerald, that is my tin covered shop right by the tracks in the middle of Gerald.
