you really said this Bob. I got to pay more to recover your loses. It sucks that people take stuff but why should I pay more because you don't have stuff locked up.

FISHERMAN is on a distinguished road
Bob is not saying you have to pay more for your next saw, he is saying that what ever he would have made on the next 60 or seventy saws well offset what he lost. So before you accuse someone of going to charge more for his saws, maybe you should understand what he said. I will keep my eyes and ears open Bob, hopefully they try and sell someone a saw.

Thats how I understood it also, his profit for the next saws will pay for his loss. Hope they find the bastards Bob and you get your stuff back.

I don't think he was being accusatory at all, because raising prices to offset loss due to theft isn't exactly a new concept, and consumers are well aware of it.

Not that I'm an expert, but the last time I did basic financial math it seemed to me that if I lose money due to theft of product(s) I can't offset that loss on future sales without increasing prices. The best I'd do is still be X number of dollars in the hole. If you've figured out a way to offset loss without increasing price, I'd dearly love to know.

It does suck that people just cant work for what they have and earn it like most of us.
I have a couple of questions though:
Dont you have some sort of security cameras in the main building or at least in the barns? Did you leave the door open? How did they take the Wildcat without keys? were the keys in it? How did they have the code for it?
Why do you have to offset the cost of 60+ saws? Isnt that what insurance is for?

Even when you have insurance, your deductable doesn't fall from a tree. My business use to carry a $5000 deductable, in a case like this you wouldn't even make a claim or your insurance would go up more. A person should not have to lock up everything he owns cause of a few dirtbags out there.

Pair of pliers, and one less finger for every occurrence. World would be a better place with an eye for an eye justice system....sadly it is not.
