well, we use to cut up metal coat hangers and insert them into the carb and adjust the throttle plates until they were all even. Its a little primative but not may people have a fancy triple air flow gauge

What year and model is the sled? Is it like a 96-97 XCR 600 SP? You will need to know what the gap needs to be under the slides.

It's a 97 XCR 600 LE

If I knew more about carbs I would love to tackle it myself, but carberation is so important, I'd rather have someone who's done it before do it for mine. Looks easy enough I guess. Lol.

wow Dave.....you sure know how to find that stuff!! Nice!!

However, i guess my first step will be to run to the country and get my sled to see what's in there for carbs...LOL. I always thought they were mikuni's, but they sure look like the keihins....o well, have to look when i pick her up.

It looks quite easy, but i sure would like to get an experienced carb guy to do a synchro for me.....would help alot.

No problem. The manual says that the carbs are 38mm VM Miks, just standard round slides. Polaris didn't use anything different until the Keihins on the first XC700 sleds (except maybe the 440 racers). Hopefully someone can help you out with the sync.
