barrett 98b .338 lapula is this gun legal in canada?
just wondering if this is legal up here, its an insane looking gun, i saw and shot one on the weekend and holy shatts it crazy accurate! under 3/4 inch 500 yard groups, heavy as hell..and the shells make my 7mm weatherby look like a 22 shell, lol!

Perfectly legal...and for a mere $7000 before taxes, you can own the base rifle also !
Add in optics and mounts and you'll probably be well over the 10G mark. But if you have the cash...contact Wolverine supply in Virden. :)

Ya .338 s aren't cheap 120 for box of 20 .Could start out with a Savage ba 110 comes in 300 win or 338 lep.2 grand.

90$ a box at cabelas for 338 lapua mag. Fun to shoot I had a savage 110 Fcp hs precision.

I too have been looking at this calibre....deer meat in the freezer is a given on any year, so I try to make it more fun by making long shots...I sold my 257 Wby last year, as 450 yard shots were pretty normal, but I hear the 338 Lapua is crazy accurate at 1000 yards...
I have a Zeiss Diavari 6x24x56 Illuminated reticle that would fit this gun beautifully.... Let me know how you make out.... Good luck!

Just get a 300 win mag. Cheaper and still very accurate to 1500 yards
