2wd Hi most of the time,
4wd when required, usually just before its needed,
4wd low if its thick or when working it hard (plowing, towing things, etc.) I try to take it out of 4wd when ever i can.
4wd and diff lock, i only used when crawling or stuck cause without eps it tries to tear those grips right out of my hands.

i sometimes try different things just to see how it works

wish reverse was low range!

I've never really had this one in the mud, but i would def use low if i needed to get through a ditch or creek. Check belt every year, and it hasn't even changed in 6 years. Best quad i've owned so far, hands down. Zero breakdowns, have only added gas, and changed oil....6 yrs.
same on this end with the Rhinos.

Anything more than 10kph in low has the engine near max rpm so hi 99% most of the time execpt when stuck or very tight / obstacle type trails when I know I will be 5 - 8 kph for an extended period of time.

15kph + in low and the engine would be screaming.

Cool PS and lo gear:

I have power steering and it makes a difference in low gear over really rough terrain. Much easier on the arms and shoulders so I tend to go a bit faster and use high gear more often. With the tracks on I rarely go into lo since the large sprocket lowers the ground speed by almost 50%. But I'm in 4wd all the time in the snow!

When I had the 850. Low for under 10mph crawling, towing, working etc.. 4x4 in any range when needed to not make ruts deeper. I found more fun in a slow techincal rutted up mud hole crawling through, around and over. And open dry trails 2x4 only. I dont mind sliding the odd corner.
Now if only they would give us open rear diff mode we would be set, and the lawn would be happy also.

In my rzr 570 i am in high 80 percent of the time.
I use low for steep hills and trails with alot of trees and rocks.
4x4 before i hit the deep mud or after its to late lol
3500 km on the belt and all is good :)

2wd hi most of the time as speeds usually avg. 20 mph or higher and 4wd Lo when I want to get muddy and show off the XP power. She's got a lot giddyup in low and I tend to have a heavy thumb...........she never comes home clean.

Been thru 2 belts.......one in the snow and one got wet.........1500 miles on the one I'm on now though.
