looking for trail cams/your opinions?

Wanting to purchase a few more trail cams, have 5 now, but what your thoughts/ recommendations on the brands you have dealt with?

Wondering if the black flash is the best way to go, or the infrared is just fine??

Thanks

KawiT4 is on a distinguished road
I have a Uway, and no complaints. Black flash seems to work well and they come with a field viewer. I've had batteries last two months, and they still had juice in them. Very happy with it wouldn't think twice about getting another.

How much $$$ you looking at spending??? For a good entry level camera, the Primos Truth Cam 35 is a strong contender.

Not to concerned about pricing, want one or 2 more, just wondering which way I should go, have a cuddy back ir attack and a couple cheapies and a couple wild game innovations that aren't bad, I already have a field viewer as well...

If you aren't concerned about pricing go Reconyx. They are the Cadillac of CAMs. The trigger speed is second to none. $450 for the red flash and $550 for the black flash. I have one of the HC500 red flash models and it does not miss a thing.

The other option I would go is one of the Bushnell no glo cams. $250. I have a couple of these and run them in video mode.

I have bushnell, stealth cam and cuddeback and they are all good in there own way,one good thing about the cuddeback is there will not be any ass end pics for it is designed to take the pic when it is centre but the downer is it will only take every 3o secounds so unless it is front of bait you will only get 1 pic.but that 1 pic could be better than another cam with 9.

Here is an example of the trigger speed of Reconyx. Check out the first pic. You can just see the reflection of the eye ball of the doe as it comes into view on the right. The Cam keeps taking pics while the animal is in its range.

Some of my cams are set up to take pics of tresspassers/unwanted road hunters, so maybe it would be a good idea to have these cams that notify my phone...nobody seems to believe in asking for permission, every year anymore...they think they asked once thats good enough, but property does change hands, just like the 130 acres I just bought....butholes are up and down the dirt road constantly...on a good note, me thinks I see a nice area for a mud bog tourney I may hold for the fundraiser my wife and I are doing...June 2013????

Good point regarding permissions, particularly " they think they asked once thats good enough, but property does change hands "...............!!!

Its also kind of pathetic when an individual presumes to have permission/s and then brings his buddies along with "extended" non permission !!!

Talking Wildview EZ- Cams

a pair all in for $ 95.19 @ Canadian Tire.

I realize they are not the cream of the crop, but I think they would do to give an idea of numbers and location, then narrow your choices with your better cams.

Don't know when the sale ends........might be today.
