Exclamation Archery Equipment.

Is there anyone out there in TS land who is considering getting out of -or-trading up insofar as Bow Hunting equipment goes ?

I am considering getting into bow hunting and want to be ready to go this fall. P.M. me with what you might have to offer c/w pics. and price expected.

I am interested in mid range equipment or better........no junk please. I need top to bottom equip.

I been doing some research and have a fair idea of what the stuff is worth.

Thanks.

If you know what you want check this out.

But if you don't know what you are up against I would suggest you head over to Heights and get setup. They will make sure the bow you select fits you. You have to make sure the bow you get is the right draw length, if not you will need to get it changed (if it even can be).

Thanks. I have already been there.........those folks seem to be quite knowledgeable and very helpful. If I cannot find what I need here.....they will be next on the list.

So you know your draw length then? Then I would for sure watch the Classified Ads on Archery Talk and wait for a bow you want. There are for sure some deals to be bad. 1 year old bare bows are going for half price. Some guys always have to have the latest and greatest.

Good luck with your search.

It is better to buy a bow that suits you and your shooting style. I have shot many top of the line bows and with just the way the hand grip is made makes them hard not to torque!! I sujest shooting a bunch of diferent bows and find the one that you shoot the best. Then start looking for one used. JMO

If you shoot correct you would never be holding the handle so there should be no torque on you bow.when you are at full draw the bow should be just sitting above your thumb and for finger. If you have a strap on your bow that even eleminates trying to grab the handle when you release the bow can just slowly roll forawrd

I went to Heights and they were very good,I went in looking for a package with everything in it,he set up 4 different bows for me to try,Hoyt,PSE,Bear, and APA.Took 30 shots with each and chose the winner.I ended up with a APA Pit Viper with all the goodies for 975+ taxes. The bow alone is worth that.Happy hunting.

I agree with Firemedic. Go to Heartland or Heights Archery and test drive a few different bow setups. It's all about what feels and shoots right for you that is important!

i used to take lessons at heartland. and they used to sell used bows for pretty cheap if i remember right.
been ages since ive been there though. not sure if they still sell used or not.

always wanted to get back into it. got 2nd place in atournament once, and even got a "robin hood" due to pure luck haha
