You can stage at either of two places. The first one is at the North Star Trail which is on the north side of Hwy 304 and the junction of the Stead turn of Road 44E. From there, you cross Hyw 304 and on the north side of the highway, you will see a well defined sandy trail on the west side of Road 44E Take that trail and drive one mile and you will come to a gravel road. Turn left and drive a short distance and you will see the Whistle Pig rail line on your right.

The second spot to stage is right in Stead. Where Road 44E meets the rail line, there is a large grassy siding parallel to the rail line on the west side of Road 44E.

Alternatively, you can also stage j8ust off Hwy 11 and one mile east of Hwy 59 if you wanted to make a real long ride from Traverse Bay. I have attached a photo map of the Whistle Pig Trail as well as a .KMZ Google Earth file called and also a photo maps of all the trails in the Belair Forest, Also attached are maps and a .KMZ file of a significant network of trails within the Belair Forest that our Belair ATV Club is in negotiations with the Province to have designated as official ATV trails for our club to manage. These trails feature the primary north/south North Star Trail and Ridge Trail with many scenic loops branching off those main stem trails.
