Dog had toe amputated

Dog had a toe amputated, and is in a cast now. I hate this shit ,but if it didn't get done ,it would have been a death sentence. Cost a small fortune but she's our baby .

She had a non cancerous tumor in the toe. It was swollen like crazy and her toenail was pointing upwards so we got an xray done. It showed the bone ending at the knuckle, then absolutely nothing but a swollen sack of skin. It was a tumor that eats bone . Pretty gross.

She's in a cast right now, can't wait for the cone of shame lol.

You should have embellished the story a little and said you and your trusty hound were walking in the woods picking mushrooms when you startled a big 600 pound bear. The bear panicked and charged you head on. In a split second your hound jumped at the bear and a big fight commenced. The bear got a hold of you dog's foot and bit a toe off which upset the dog so much that it bit into the bears throat and tore out its jugular and he held on until the bear died.

Ever since then, Old Blue is considered a legend around Komarno and Inter Lake. He is now known as Old Three Toed Blue".

I hope your dog heals up real fast! Vets are very expensive "I used to own a number of Clydesdales and some other draft houses" but once they are all healed up and what they give back to you it's all worth it!

Fawker got her stitches out and licked the area to the point where it started to bleed a bit. So thank God the vet lives down the road cause we had to pick up some bandages lol. Maybe one more week and she'll finally be free

Not entirely sure we may need the spray ,but it's great to know that it works
Woman took the dog to vet yesterday to get the stiches removed and when they rebandaged her foot ,the top of the bandage was loose,so she got a grip and tore it off, and went to town licking lol. We bandage it up again last night, after I returned from vets house ,and made sure the top section was secure ( like they always did ) ,and she's no longer interested in her foot lol.

Mine's had a splint on now for just over 2 weeks. No break but sprained her wrist really bad from a 10ft fall off a cliff wall in the quarry behind the house.

We see the vet again tomorrow. Took the splint off this afternoon and she's still limping. Hoping surgery will not be necessary.

Earlier this summer she bit into something and developed an abcess. That required some minor surgery and a drain tube for the infection inserted in her head for 2 weeks.

I'm in for almost 3 grand in vet bills due to injuries this year. 11yr old still acting like she's 2 !!

Damn. That tube is evil. As for the foot ,you should contact Linda Hamilton at Natural Healing. She's a miracle worker . Our dog injured her leg bad in a fall. 2 vets said she needed a 3k surgery, the Gary Butler suggested Linda. She did her hippie voodoo thing and after 6 visits you would never know she was injured. This was 6 years ago
