Exclamation Please read this!!!!

I wanted to write this three years ago, and in regards to the highway accident on the weekend I feel now is the time. Most of you will know what I am talking about. Last night the wife and I went to a vendor in an Interlake town to get cough syrup. I seen a man walking his dog, a middle age couple on the edge of a street, and another person walking on a different street. This evening I went to town to get bread and milk and seen a woman jogging with her dog and then kids bolt across another street. What were they all wearing................BLACK!!! REALLY? Unless you're a navy seal, a ninja or just a plain thief why the f@#$ would you wear black clothing at night.... especially when vehicles are driving around. It's hard enough to see anything at night. Stopping an automobile, sled or quad on a dime is quite impossible...... especially in winter. Its also dangerous for the driver as well. Walkers, joggers, street hockey players, cyclists and pet owners, please think ahead about your safety. Over the years of driving in towns, highways and back roads I have seen so many close calls that were preventable. Please advise your husbands, wives, children, grandchildren and anyone you care about to wear something other than dark colors at night. Also, take care of your pets safety too. Go to a dollar store and get some reflectors or LED lights and put on some light colored clothing. Buy a reflective dog leash as well. Us drivers have a responsibility to keep pedestrians safe as well as ourselves. If you choose to stay cool and in fashion when its dark out and feel its the sole responsibility of the driver to yield too you, you're wrong. You may end up in a black outfit the hard way. Is showing off your new dark jogging suit you got online really worth it? Insurance is expensive and I personally don't need the headache of an accident. Nobody does. Respect yourselves and your fellow drivers as we all feel the pain of tragic accidents. To all RCMP officers, mayors, councillors, politicians, educators, coaches and parents that follow trackshare, please educate your communities, students and family. Have a safe night.

I passed a Ninja walking thru Riding Mountain on Hwy 5 in the pitch dark last night. Looked like one as far as I could tell.
