My brother went thru the ice on Netley Creek several years ago when he was grooming for the Interlake Snotrackers. He was lucky to get out. It's scary for sure

Report: TOO DAMN MUCH FOR THIS EARLY IN DECEMBERS! LOL I haven't ridden in the last two years as I focused on my classic vehicles...but with the 6-8" we got again last night....the 12-14" we have is getting old fast when it's only the start of December....going to be a long winter now. Groomers won't be going far here either...way too much rain this fall, so fields and ditches full of water that isn't frozen...even worse for ice fishing...I guess I can sled, rather then fish over Christmas break

Ya best thing that ever happened to that Massey. Spent many hours fixing that piece of junk in our shop.

I'll be trailering out to Ranger Station past Marchand. Fire guards should be covered in a least 8". Lots of trails that don't cross swamps. Let you know what I find.

you guys worry too much. Even last year with all the melting and shit that was happening monthly, we were still able to ride the Moose Trail in Nopoming which is lots of swamp as well hit all the ditches that had a shit load of water in them before that minimal amount of snow came.

stop crying! we got more snow than the previous two years put together in one dumping! Everything will be alright. We have 14 straight days of -20 and below weather coming up.

3 letters to describe Sandilands....

OMG, easily 12". Pushing snow. But spinning down to sand. So I figure by end of day Saturday, trails will be dirt.
Trailering is a must. Ranger Station parking not plowed yet tho, so trailer to Woodridge I guess.

Good stretch of -20 to -25 for overnight lows now.

Will be trying the ditches from north of Riverton, into Riverton, Arborg and Gimli if I can make it on Saturday.

Ditches weren't very full but some were wet. Pics and reports to follow.

let us know how it goes!

I see the river is freezing up nicely in just a few short days. By mid next week, should be frozen enough for cars.

We got about 12" in South Junction area. As mentioned previously the ground did not get a chance to freeze and there is open water all over the place.
