Toyota. The only other one you listed I would consider would be a Ranger, the rest are garbage.

Toyota was buying back their Tacomaís for rust lol the older toys weíre good trucks. Whatís the point of buying a smaller one now? They arenít cheaper and they arenít easier on gas. Ranger is disgustingly small. Iíd be buying the Dakota. But personally I wouldnít be buying a small truck I donít see the sense in it.

I agree about the full size.
Had a dakota and s-10, my 5.3 is better on gas than either was.. and alot more room.

Go with a ranger I had mine since 2009 when I got it new , no problems at all. I have a 2wd 4 liter and its great on fuel and lots of power.

X2 don't waste your cash on a smaller truck go full size. They are no better on fuel or cost of purchasing. If you are really dead set on a smaller truck Tacoma all the way

I call bs on the great on fuel part. Donít know one person with that 4.0 that gets good mileage. With that tiny truck good mileage should be 30. Great should be higher.

The older 4.0 litre V6 got fairly poor mileage. My son drove a new little chevy with the diesel motor this spring. He said it seemed really good on fuel.

Family member has 2013 ram with 8spd and v6 pentastar. Gets 30-32 with it. Itís 2 wheel drive low to the ground. Only prob he has is the fuel tank vent plugs from gravel dust and he has sucked the tank in and has it replaced under warranty.

My friends brothers girlrfriends dads uncle's truck gets 30 mpg 35 with the wind blah blah blah...

4-6 year old small truck -- like most have said probably better off getting a regular size truck if your looking for fuel economy. If your looking for a smaller truck for city driving and tighter parking and stuff like that... the tacoma all day long. I had an s10 and it was a money pit and a fuel hog 4.3L ... my Tundra gets better milage than my S10 did ... well about the same.. 16L/ 100 average

Well him taking my family members word is about the same as taking yours...... or maybe your not lieing??

Thereís no doubt the tundra is disgusting on fuel.

Our trip to Alberta this week heavy cross wind all the way out there and half way home in my ram at about 115-120 kmh with level kit an bigger load range e rubber netted 21 mpg average. I wonít complain with that.

The 4.3l we had in our single cab long box 2wd work truck was wicked on fuel as long as you stayed off the throttle. Lots of power for a v6 but chugged fuel when you used the pedal.
