Should I be wearing orange?
Hey there all you hunters, I was wondering if I should be wearing orange now, while clearing trails? I never thought of it last time until I was in the bush. I believe it is better to be safe than sorry so was going to wear a vest just in case, then thought I should ask here. I appreciate the yearly reminder as I am not a hunter and often forget unless I see a post on TS.

Yes you should be wearing orange. Muzzle season is opening today in many parts of the province.

Too many muzzle and rifle hunters that have no clue how to hunt so yeah, dress up....worst time of the year.

I don't know where you guys are seeing these hunters but I know I've never had any close calls or people ever try shooting at me. I hunt in the virden area and I know a lot of perimeter junkies hunt out this way too

It's a good idea to be wearing orange though too, I never go out this time of year without it

I wear orange riding the trails all fall and past of winter. Walking around clearing bush especially riding quad. Too many ppl with guns around, and a big one cylinder quad sounds too much at idle like a prairie chicken.

By all means ! It might make a chancey hunter take a second look, and if you happen to get lost ( which none of us ever think it will happen to US ) it will help you to get found !
