Everest 440 issues

Got a 1978 skidoo Everest 440. Sometimes it bogs when you hit the throttle. At mid throttle there is a popping noise coming from under the hood. Everytime it pops you can feel it miss. Carb is clean as a whistle. Just noticed a bunch of oil on top and down the side of one cylinder. Bad head gasket possibly?
Thanks

Compression is decent but I'm just not sure where this oil would have come from
