If you look at the source code when the like button is still there you can still see that the Quote/Thanks/etc. buttons are still there, just for some reason in certain browsers the Like button is rendering in place of them. I can't recall what the specific tag was when I looked at it but you may want to check to see if the Facebook devs have deprecated it or changed the way it works. Cheers.
