Made the big move on the weekend

We decided that we'd had enough with the park where the family camper is so we hired some guys to shift everything to another park about 45mins away. the new park is awesome, its on a lake whereas the old park was land locked.

the move happened on monday so we spent the weekend bracing up the deck and the two sheds, inspecting the camper for road worthieness lol and pulling the deck away from the camper. when the guys showed up monday morning, the first thing was to get the camper off its blockings and pull it off the site.

Then it was time to start jacking up the deck and loading it onto one of the floats.

after the deck was the sheds. the smaller one (8x10 plastic) was no problem at all. we just manhandled the thing up onto the float. the bigger one (10x14) was a little more action because i cheaped out and bought old decking and screwed it together for a base but in the end wasn't much trouble either.

getting everything onto the new site turned out to be a lot of work. if it wasn't for the spectacular trailer/float backing up ability of one of the drivers it never would have happened. our new site is on a hill off of a tree lined T intersection and all very narrow for the 10 and 12 foot wide things that needed to be ramed up there.

first the two sheds went back into the woods alittle, then the deck was brought into place. the camper was trickey because there is a gully that runs down the side of the site and the tongue of the camper had to be up to the gully. the guys brought in the camper as far as they could and then put a "ski" under the tongue. with the truck side by side with the camper and a chain around the camper axle they slid the thing right into place. a little jacking and leveling is left to be done but all in all it was a great move.
