The 2015 Telus ATV Ride for Dad Manitoba is only 2 weeks away and we hope to see everyone there! You can register online on our page here:

http://support.pcff.ca/site/TR?fr_id=1312&pg=entry

Last year we had an individual posting pictures during the ride, but this year we're planning on opening up our Facebook page and allowing participants to post pictures of their own! You can visit the Facebook page here:

https://www.facebook.com/ManitobaATVRideForDad

This year we're also pleased to welcome Lorne Harley, prostate cancer survivor and volunteer for AdventureSmart (www.adventuresmart.ca) who will have a booth set up to talk to riders about the importance of safe and responsible riding. Drop into the both and chat or just to say hi!

We've got a ton of sponsors this year who are all contributing to the cause. Check out all our sponsors on our Facebook page:

GOLD Sponsors: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2034033&type=3
SILVER Sponsors: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2034033&type=3
BRONZE Sponsors: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2034033&type=3
Contributing Sponsors: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2034033&type=3
Media Sponsors: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2034033&type=3

It should be noted that our media sponsors are also contributing sponsors!

It's going to be a great day in support of an excellent cause, and we hope to top last year's attendance which included over 190 machines.

See you all on September 12th!

No parade this year. The feedback and interest wasn't there.

Everyone will be starting at Red Barn. At 10:00 we will start taking groups of 30 or so up hwy 236 to the trailhead north of #67 past Timmies. We are using SxS's as pilot vehicles through town to ensure no one acts crazy.

Should take about 30 min to clear the red barn out completely using 2 pilots and that will also break up the bottle neck at the start of the trail.

Same as last year, Roughly 35-40 miles. First half will be wet and the second half should be mostly dry.

With the rain we've had recently the first half of the trail will be fairly wet. I've been told the water isn't deep enough to swamp a machine but you will need to pick your line carefully on some spots.

So rain suit or chest waders ? don't mind getting wet up to mid thigh or so but would hate to get soaked at beginning of ride.

I would expect waders would be a better choice.

The Red Barn is located about 13 km north of Winnipeg on Road 75N (Rockwood Road), just off of highway 236. For directions, the below link can be used as an ending point on Google Maps, you just need to enter a starting point:

https://www.google.ca/maps/dir//50.1....3231263,11.5z

At the northwest of the perimeter, turn onto highway 6, and just ahead perhaps half a kilometer turn onto highway 236 (the Red Sun gas bar is at the corner of the 6 and 236). Follow that north for about 13 km and turn onto Road 75N (Rockwood Road). There will be signs; it's hard to miss.

Three days to go folks, can't wait to see everyone there!

Great Ride Today

Thanks to all the volunteers at the Ride for Dad. The trail was fun with a mix of water and dry, the lunch was great.

Nicely done a job well done by organizers and volunteers the trail was great lots of mud lots of water some high speed driving something for everyone. The pork on a bun by Danny's hog was insanely tasty at half way point wanted to go or a nap after all that food. The trail was about 45 miles but felt longer tired out our group again well done organizers
