OK Chris...... we are patiently waiting.

Monday, Nov. 20 CANADIANS TOLD TO BRACE FOR 'CLASSIC' WINTER

One of Canada’s high profile weather forecasters is warning Canadians to brace for a whole lot of snow this winter. Chris Scott, The Weather Network's chief meteorologist, says the message from his forecast team is "'buckle up' because it looks like a stormy winter." The forecast says British Columbia, the Prairies, Quebec, Ontario and the Maritimes can all expect above normal levels of precipitation. But the long-range forecast also calls sustained periods of milder temperatures.

Won't hold my breath thinking he's right but looking forward to it just in case he turns out correct. :)

November is one of those transition months much like May. Doesn't know whether to be cold or warm. Hoping we get a good dumping beginning of December. Got some testing to do on the sled before it hits the trails

Well if you noticed it looks like manitoba is exempt from the above normal precipitation to just normal snowfall is expected. Not sure how to read their predictions.

You honestly believe anything from the Weather Network? They can't even predict yesterday's weather. lol

QUIET ALL OF YOU!!! How dare any of you say anything other than TWN is the best. They accurately and daily forecast cute young brunettes and hot blondes and even a rare redheaded cougar.......and some other stuff about precipitation n sh!t that maybe a few of us tune in for. As men if we start openly questioning TWN, then our wives will catch on that we're not tuning in for the "forecast" and then its back to stupid green and blue Environment Canada.

yup ... last year in the S.E. we looked like this.

This year on the sled I got only 1 ride (50 kms) on the pipeline and some fire guard roads which are pretty smooth and rock free in my area.

The wheeled users like atv / truck guys are still able to have a blast without much trouble. Surprised to see so much action on the trails this year. Never remember as much as this year. Last weekend easily saw more than a dozen riders out and about and I was only out for a few hours.

Still have fingers crossed for a good snow year. gotta have faith.

I got in 320km on T/F but looks like much less snow here than in Kenora.

Mostly fireguards, back trails, swamps and a little on the desig. snomo trails.

Enough snow for my type of riding especially since maybe 95% of the time I didn't see any tracks on the new snow. Part of the reason why I like riding T/F. Only near the villages did I see other tracks but going to guess will be pretty well beaten down by end of the weekend.

Must have had a lot of rain fall first as in the open area like where logging has happened no snow but a very thick layer of ice covering up the stone.
Wouldn't be enough snow if you were in a stoney or rocky area but in the Sandilands it was more than enough for a good time.

Must have riden almost a dozen swamps / wet areas and only had trouble once where it was hollow but dry under the ice.

Nice! So the swamps are frozen enough? Thought I recognized the area of the pics. Seeing the Border Busters shack confirmed my thoughts. Been a couple years since I was out that way. Saw a vid of Sunset Country areas and they look like they got about a foot of snow.
