South of inwood we hit heavy rain and pea size hail for about 35mins. Never knew hail was so painfull on a quad

That will be takin care of soon. Neverenuff just needs to iron out between the province, municipalitys, and the snowmobile club on what is the best route to go for the huge washout, culverts or bridge (has to support the trail groomer) plus we are working on more signage. We have a grant for trail development we just have to figure out what needs attention first,Along with getting the manpower to do it. We will need to do another trek north to see what we can find and gps for trails coming off the pioneer trail. After we do all that all the gps tracks will be added to our website.

I guess things could get interesting with some of the farmers who have fenced off parts of the trail for cattle. i know of a few spots that r, and putting in texas style gates r too pricey to do...

Hey JB, don't know if I can be much help, but let me know when you plan on doing some trail work. An extra quad can't hurt, and I have a huge ass moose box for stuff too, and I'm not against hauling.

We are in the process of dealing with that. When I talked to the municipality they said it won't be an issue. The farmers are required to have a easy passage way for us to go through. The present 5 gates are too difficult to use. So we will have to discuss with the farmers about either installing easier to use gates or cost or labour sharing to install texas gates.
We are sort of just getting all our ducks lined up this year and are going to come out firing in the spring to get all the big stuff done.

It would be nice if all were simple and easy gates to open and close. but unfortantly there will be some one who will leave it open, or just plain cut it up. I too have fenced land along the trail, but not crossing it, and still poeple like to pull out there pliers and have fun. it's good to hear that most farmers are working with SIatv to get this trail going...

I've updated the website events page. We've added details on an upcoming club ride, our 2nd annual fishing derby and a family fun day taking place over the next couple of months.

Meeting minutes from Tuesday's meeting will be posted once I've received them.
