Ok and this pertains to me how!? I just liked the bold invite. The call out so to speak! I didn't do the inviting! Thanks

Cool down keep this up and RM lac du bonnet will ban back Rd travel!!! like they tried about 8 years ago. The trails around 317 pit Rd r very nice shape. Horse rides and quad riders respect each other. We don't need another 100 guads f**ken up the trail. I'm a quad rider too picking up garbage from who ever. There is a nice ski trail that will connect to your place on Hwy. 317. I'm sure they will appreciate it after it's destroyed. Just my 2 cents eh!!!!

Sorry I meant to quote Blue Girl. My fat man fingers hit the wrong quote button. No problem all good and I too see the humor in the suggestion.

According to the Agenda - there is Q&A. And having ATVMB; MB Conservation; Club Reps available - he could bring the conserns forward for them to go over. Maybe there is some reality that they need to see so changes can be made. I never invited a pizzing match - just the facts. If he doesn't want to have that information given to the people that are making changes - then he should shut up - period. I doubt this information exists so proof is in the pudding.

this was never about sno man trails on private land if you read the entire thread.

Yes so if you can get to the crown land part of the trail without crossing my property because I closed the gate because officially the trail is closed go for it. But if someone runs into my gate am I liable or is snoman liable is the point I was trying to get across is all.

The are many more miles and areas that can only be used by highly modified ATVs . Yet tell them that there is an area they can't go and immediately they are being picked on.

Again they always bring up well it is grown land we are allowed well that holds true for other user groups as well that can't use grown land after ATVers have destroyed it. If ATVers want the respect from other users than they have to also respect the rights of those other users.

ATVers always want to spout the law when it comes to land use. There are laws out there regarding the use of alcohol while operating an motorized vehicle but again and again ATVers choose to ignore that law. In fact they pride themselves in how many people they can get at their derby events which openly condone the practice of consuming alcohol while driving an ATV. In fact as one ATVer put it on a social media page " we go for the beer and the mud and in that order"

ATVer have proven, and in-fact pride themselves, in the fact that the only real way to enjoy their sport is to be destroying the trail they ride on. I think they call it technical riding.
I don't think your views are accurate and are counterproductive.
Using your logic, because I ride a motorcycle, I am part of a biker gang and am therefore responsible for the drug trade and prostitution. Just because one ATVer or Sledder chooses to be a Jackass, doesn't make all riders one.

If that trail is designated closed, it's closed. A closed Snoman trail means that there are no longer any requirements for a club to maintain any level of signing standards including cautionary warning signs. If an ATV came along and ran into a gate I'm sure the court would rule that the rider was not riding prudently. No different than somebody running into one of those metal tube saw horse barriers the city of Wpg throws up by the hundreds during street repairs that you can barely see at night.

I see you made the "if a atv ran into the gate" comment..now how about if a snowmob8le ran into the gate answer..should be the same answer now that the trails are closed..right? Seeing as both would be trespassing on private land now...right?

You are correct regarding a sled on private property on a
"closed" trail.

Yup. If a trail is closed, whether you're on an ATV or sled and you run into something on either crown land or privare land, there is no expectation of Snoman liability coverage.

Our club has closed our trails due to lack of snow in the open areas and for safety concerns because some signs have fallen over and there is severe icing on the remaining snow. While we still have many of our signs out there that we have yet to retrieve, seeing them there has no validity because our trails are officially closed. The same applies to the start of the season when we start grooming and signing. While we are in that multi day process, there may be partial signing that people see but the trails remain designated closed until preperation is complete and we are satisfied that we have met the standards and then declare them open on the Snoman site.
