Question Home Based Autobody Feedback?

Anyone familiar with R&B Autobody that used to be on Logan Ave.? The fellows name is Rob Barnes and he now works from home on Brandon Ave in Winnipeg. He does MPI autobody, custom painting, wraps, welding and mechanical repairs. Said he did work for Jaymax until their building burnt down.

Well, if it is too late, hope the OP just walks away and let's Rob have the vehicle. Maybe he can sell it for more weed, or grow equipment.

Heaven forbid one ends up in court, where Mr Barnes will represent himself and make a mockery of the Process.

Forget the PM for info. Just go by the FACT that for several years, MPI issued a letter when anyone got an estimate, stating that if you took your vehicle to his shop, they would NOT "work with" the shop, and the repairs were at owner's risk.

Happens when you threaten to kill the head of estimating.

Shouldnt mpi just pull the shop and it not be an approved place to go?

Had something similar happen at a shop many years ago i got a letter from mpi stating any issues would be my problem so i canceled with the shop and decided to go elsewhere.

They did pull accreditation, if they even had it. They extended it to say that whether working with full or non accredited, MPI would not play ball. It was bold.

My comment was directed toward all home non accredited repairs. People think they're saving $ but have no idea of the repair quality. Down the road the vehicle has issues and then it costs 3x the price to unmolest the vehicle

Thank you all for your input about R&B Auto body. Fortunately I have not had any work started on my vehicle by R&B. I am a senior on a low fixed pension so I cannot afford to pay high overhead auto body shop rates.
If anyone can suggest/recommend MPI accredited auto body persons that do work on a smaller scale at a lower cost I would really appreciate receiving their contact information.
Thank you!

Nothing cheap now a days with auto body. Material prices are high price and people can't work for free.
