Looks to be much the same as the hero2 with the exception of built in wifi. The camera istself must be slightly different ( at least the outside ) as the frame shows it only works for the hero3. Battries are different as well, perhaps a bit more longevity, which is always nice. Have to check specs to see.
Battry actually has slightly less power, and the 3 has a couple additional resolutions modes, 12 more fps for anyone who like things in slow motion, and the Pro low-light performance will address one deficiency when working the camera in low light conditions.

Sound is supposed to be better and fps is higher as well. Higher HD quality too.

Better sound would be welcomed.

Higher resolution really means nothing unless you have a state of the art TV or computer.
