Kozi stoves are on sale rite now on Kijiji. Made in Winnipeg and have been around almost 20 yrs. They have some good reviews I picked one up today will install on the weekend!

thought about purchasing a pellet stove..........does the insurance companies charge extra due to using a wood appliance/pellet stove...I was told that my insurance rates would go up 25%......is this correct.......thanks

I think there was a thread on here recently about that, it depended on who your insurance was through, how much you burn a year and wett certification.

I was quated a 10% surcharge if W.E.T certified.

Thank You........I was told 25%......at 25 it makes it hard to justify using wood or pellet stove.......

Just got my house insurance today and yes through wawanesa insurance they have a 25% surcharge unless WETT certified then 10%
