I'm not bashing cat here but if it was the "best" machine out there how come most dealers had 3 plus year old stock left to sell? As for the ATVs well I grew up riding cats that my grandfather had and well by no means did he abuse any of his units and i do remember he had his fair share of warranty work till he switched to the 550 then he only had 2 claims on that one but there was no comparison when it came to ride handling and power between the 550 cat and a 500 sportsman
. The sportsman out did itself in ride quality and handling. only thing cat had was a bit more top end but was also alot louder when riding...

I read that cat/textron is closing 4 dealerships in MB.. anyone else hear anything?

The reliability of the newer Cats is very high. They had some issues 5 to 8 years ago but the newer products ,especially the XR series is very strong. There is a new lineup coming that will be very well accepted but I am sure that some individuals, the same few, will continue to bash that lineup to.

Sadly in this day and age everything is bought and sold. Fiat owns Dodge, Fujii owns Hyundai a Chinese company bought Hummer Russia owns Trump etc etc they are all just a commodity. Delve deep and you would be surprised of whom owns what. Either way good luck to Arctic Cat.

That was my point earlier. If the product is that great, why change it at such a perfect time? I like to rib ya like everyone here does. Theres no denying that cat does make some good products, but because of the praise you give them (and rightfully so, you're a dealer for them), people just like to have fun and try to steer you in another direction (me included).

As far as the new lineup coming in, there is no way for you to know if it will be received well or not, but you push it in your biased direction. That statement right there is why people "bash" as you say. I honestly dont think that they're bashing, more to just get under your skin. I dont think anyone on here would refuse a cat if it was given to them.

Either way, keep up the good work bob. I've bought from you in the past and have no complaints. You've always treated me like a human being when I come into your store. You're a very respectful person and that is most likely the main reason you are doing so well.

I like the fact Crickside is owner / operated. They seem to care more and shows as they are here and communicate / advertise / banter back and forth with real users.
They are not afraid to talk to us. They support clubs, etc... They rib us back as much as we rib them which makes them human and approachable.
At a lot of other places when you go for parts, service, or to buy it almost seems like other than wanting our cash and for us to go away as quickly as possible, our questions/problems/needs/etc... are a pain in the arse to them.

Wink

Nobody should take this internet brand bashing seriously. It should just be guys busting each other's balls in fun. Anyone who wishes another company or manufacturer to fail needs their head examined

I would suggest that even though they sell the most units probably by a long shot, Polaris is the smallest backed company now. All the Japanese brands are backed by billion dollar corporations manufacturing many forms of transportation divisions, much like Can am and now arctic cat. If anyone should be worried it's Polaris. They can't seem to produce anything right now that isn't under some form of recall. They are a hot seller (pardon the pun) but I would bet as a company they are under the gun.

Now that's funny. First quarter of 2016 Polaris had a net income of 46.9 million. Under the gun?

I agree that they are doing well. I was just stating the fact that it seems every other brand is backed by much larger corporations. Bombardier builds planes, trains, etc. So does kawasaki, Honda, Suzuki, yamaha and now arctic cat. Those companies have huge engineering and design capabilities. Polaris easily outsells all these brands by I'm sure a large margin. They also out-recall these brands by a large margin. Any relation???

Bombardier has nothing to do with can am. Can am is owned by Brp. Polaris is a subsidiary of Subaru. Which also makes automotive parts victory and Indian motorcycles.

Doesn't matter what the sticker on the side says, what matters is if it does what it's designed to do, well, and without mechanical issues.

It would not matter if Arctic Cat would be owned by Hello Kitty, It they go, they go!

Consumers have never had such good selection of options in the powersports industry. Only happens with competition.

WINNING! Shoe
