Those trails look like they are in fantastic shape.
Next time your up in the bird river area let me know.
I'll invite you in and might just tag along for the ride.

The STR trails are looking good, they were really hammered by a early snow/wind event in October. With all the extra work clearing the blowdown and have an early opening is amazing.
A little info about the military exercise in Kenora.

STR has done a fantastic job clearing all the downed trees. There were several areas we rode that you could see fresh cuts on fallen timber that needed to be negotiated. It was tight but passable. Hats off to the club.

We also saw all the military guys. Must have been at least 30 or more machines....all with govt. plates. Yamahas, Polaris and Arctic Cats.....the majority 4 strokes. Hundreds of gallons of gas in jerry cans as well. Tents built and staging area in Annishiabe Park.

Just curious...did you switch the view to Satellite and zoom in close to see features of any of the trackpoints at any time when following the ride?

Didn't switch to satellite but I did zoom in a few times and it more or less told me where you were like when you were at westhawk,I think it was just google maps.

Did Nopiming today.
Bird river to anson was choppy but expected.
The north trail into nopiming was great.
Blain at the lodge said 120 sleds came thru Saturday.
Heard the short trail back to anson from bird was rough so we went back the north route, camp 29 to rudys and back to home base on bird river along the north side of the lake. That part was A1.

Trapper -- I am thinking we need to get our sorry ass out there and make some miles ... We could have done the two day ride in Manitoba and Ontario

Time is running out ... Need to refocus
