You could call the people at the Corner Esso there at Seddons or Wally of the snopals. Otherwise try calling any of the other clubs. I'm sure woodridge area may still need some help.
Ok thanks, don't really wanna go by myself with all the hunters that can't shoot all around. lol

than looped around and went back to Stefaniuk to finish off the day.....we loged apox 55 miles and cleaned up some, but really had to hunt for a fallen tree ! .Great Job People !!
I agree with HH. It was a great day but a big shout out goes to those who had been out before us. The trails we hit were all passable by quad. We stopped occasionally to widen the trails for the groomer and cut some of the trees still standing but bent over that might give the groomer some trouble. We got in as far as we could on the west side of Stafaniuk.......it was really wet and clearly this was as far as the cleaners had come before us. After getting stuck a couple of times and winching we parked the quads and started on foot. We cleared about hundred yards and the next section to be cleared was too far away on foot so we turned around.

We didn't find too many downed trees after that until we got to the Halfway Hut. The trailhead to 7 Sisters was completely blocked so we opened that up. That was the toughest part of the day. There was a huge tree down and my chain was not nearly sharp enough for it. HH was 3 cuts to my 1 but we got er done !!

I'm pretty sure the farther you get away from the city the more the trails will need to be cleared. Some trails going east into Nopiming and Ontario won't be able to get cleared until after freeze up.

Plenty of deer and hunters out today. Wear your blaze orange if you're out working in the bush. And the whiskeyjacks are hungry and not afraid !! LOL !!

Once again....huge kudos to everyone who is out clearing bush. There is still lots to be done but it seems we are definitely getting our trails back and giving the groomers a good shot at grooming the trails. All we need now is snow !!! Regardless of what you ride......and I ride both a quad and a sled........there will be a great sense of accomplishment the next time you ride a trail that you know you helped open.

More than likey headed to Woodridge Sunday or Monday for more cleanup. It's possible they may have got hit the hardest during that storm.

Anybody know the status of Belair Forest ??

Good day today HH and nice to meet you Chickpit. The jerky was excellent !! Sorry we missed you Jag Gal......next time !!

Sounds like Ridge riders from Molson south needs clearing but may be swampy after all the rain. Heard Elma trail north off hwy 15 needs work but it may be done by now.

Well I'll phone around tomorrow and see if there are others going to do some clearing and I'll see if I can fix my chainsaw. There is a lot of work to be done through the Sandilands and I'm sure there is a lot around Lac Du Bonnet, Pinawa, and Seven Sisters. I was just in Pinawa today and you could see a lot of widow makers in the bush not far off the highway through the Agassiz forest and down PR 211. But I know the snowmobile trails around there have a lot of bottom less peat holes and will have to wait till we get some thick frost in order to be able to cross those areas.

Hey Freelance, As of last weekend the south end of the Belair Forest was still blocked up pretty bad. The Northstar was passable but all the side trails to the west of the Northstar were still blocked. The one trail I'm thinking of is when you start on the Northstar at the South end, aprox. 1000 to 1500 feet there is a trail that drifts away from Northstar on the left. It is blocked pretty bad and it takes you to many other trails that are blocked too. The majority of the fallen trees seem to be south of the first gravel pit on Northstar.

My wife and I already spent 7 hours clearing some of those side trails. If you guys are going, let me know. Depending on when you go, I may be able to tag along.

Cheers!
Revrend
