I was out Saturday, no greens, drum and some small male river walleye. Tried the bay for a bit, to windy for my 14'er. I didn't see anyone else catch a green. But it's nice to see someone else did, that means there not far off. Water was still way to warm...

I tried the mouth too. Inside the river mouth nothing. Just outside the river mouth, in the river channel in 20 to 25 fow, nothing but drum. I was using jigs and salties. When you pay $6 for maybe 35 minnows stupid drum stealing ur bait makes you mad! What presentation were you using? Seems everyone I say was using jigs too.

Anyone ever try up by Manigotagan in the fall? I don't really fish much in the fall but you would think they would come back in like they do in the south?

They are there, but not in the river or the beach... look for areas that will have current to hold the bait fish .... look at a map and picture the direction the wind will blow, usually N or Nw and picture how the current will flow, then use a Hydographic map and work your structure areas.....
