Riding near Selkirk/Lockport

Hey Guys,

Heading fishing tomorrow in Selkirk in the afternoon. Was thinking of dirtbiking in the morning and fishing in the afternoon (yeah, gonna be a great day). Are there any decent trail systems in the area? We'll be coming from La Salle so looking for somewhere on the way so don't burn our day driving.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Yeuker

Mars Sand Hills is east of Selkirk. Stick to the designated trails and hydro line.

There's a large field you can park in.

Take road 84 east off hwy 59. Go about 5 miles and you will get to a significant jog in the road, it offsets the road north by a couple of hundred yards. Continue past the jog in the road east, go about half a mile. You will see a field on your left. It lines up with a designated route going North /South. You can park in that field. The trail goes through the field North. Its near the NW corner of the field. It's marked. It goes North to the golf course, or you can veer off East on several trails.

Stick to the wide designated paths. The single track trails are off limits for motor vehicles. Mostly you ride trails that go North / South, there are two or three of them. They go South to the hydro line and past. Hope you like sand.
