WTB: 22 rifle and 12 ga shotgun
22 cal:
looking to buy a VG quality / VGC 9+ condition 22 for target practice fun out at the cabin 12ga: short barreled 12 ga in reasonable conditon. Otherwise might just buy a new rem. 870 which are fairly cheap NIB. Just using it for bear protection at the cabin. Prefer a pump for price reasons.

I have a remington model 597 semi auto .22 topped with a bushnell banner 3x9x40 scope. comes with the 30 shot banana clip and 10 shot. id consider selling, condition is 9.8/10, bought the gun last year. Originally wanted a ruger but decided on this instead. Pm if youre interested, thanks.

.22 for target practice fun out at the cabin, buy a Ruger 10/22. Stay away from the Remington 597 unless you enjoy FTE, FTF. Ruger also came out with factory 25 rnd mags. You have your choice in models of the 10/22, compact, sporter, target, carbine or takedown.
The Remington 870 is an excellent choice for a pump shotgun, for bear defence at the cabin. The Remington 870 Express Deer, 3", rifled barrel and its affordable. The maverick 88 on the other hand is an affordable or I should say cheap shotgun, buy some class, stay with the 870.
