I don't think Polaris has trail hazard warranty for a ripped boot, I would assume Can-Am would not either.

I was in the wrong...for some reason I that the blown CV joint damages the boot. My bad! You are right, Can-Am or any other company would not cover a failure like this.

Tony you may want to clean the axle CV join up and though a new boot on it and run the axle, you may find once your get all the grime out of the joint with new grease it may not be that bad.

Bbertram had posted some good info on an axle repair. Just may get you back in the game sooner and if it is still is clicking a little keep it for a spare axle. Buy a boot only if you can and go to Napa or Piston Ring and pick up a tub of silicone grease. Way cheaper and you get a lot more grease then in a OEM boot kit.

Just sucks to be down in prime riding time.

if you cant chage the cv just clean it and repack it with grease, slap the boot on and ride it until it blows up. no point in taking it off. i know guys that have had axles clicking for a long time. ive had a hole in my boot for a while and it still has lots of grease. just havent got around to changing the boot

I wish it was that easy. boot is torn all the way around. And since its new, parts arent stocked yet. Dont want the joint to fly apart and do any more damage. Oh well, one weekend without shouldnt kill me.. I hope lol

I agree with 420 ,a friend of my rode for along time, almost a year and road hard , till it broke.Change the boot and just ride it,while your riding just save up some cash and when you have enough pickup an axle ,and change it then if you want, that way you can enjoy the summer with it.
