Why the question.RWS is right on they are built in St.Cloud MN.Inthe last 4 years in the central region,Manitoba N.W.Ontario and southren Sask. we have not seen an engine failure on a C TEC 2 engine in a non race application.Try that with any other brand. Also in the Winnipeg /Wilmar cross country race there were 5 Cats in the top six with Polaris having 1 machine in third place. They are a great engine coupled with a great chassis.

I'm curious too?
From what I can tell AC only "assembles" the engine, not actually manufacturing it?

A motor, ANY motor is assembled with parts from all over the world. Parts are sourced from everywhere. Ever here of a little place called China? Taiwan? Russia? USA? They are from all over.

It's assembled in St Cloud. Cat has their specs. Everything is built to the spec demanded by manufacturer. Cat and Yamaha use dif shocks dif clutches but both assembled in same plant.

Thanks for the useful information of where they are built.
Bob, not to jump the shark on the topic, but have those riders race the other brands race sled, Im willing to bet they still win. As much as it's good to have a good running sled, rider is huge. Tucker wins cause he's tucker, past years anyway. Same thing with Brian Dyck and Zak h... im not trying to spell his name.

There was also a 76 John deere that made the full race from Winnipeg. So does that mean it's the best?? Nope

Ctec 2 800 will be a good engine. just like the 6

Right so it is not an actual arctic cat engine case .So then only Yamaha ,Suzuki and Honda actually produce and assemble there motors from raw materials all I wanted know .Why it went to sled racing stats is crazy.

So when 1 brand places first in all the USXC cross country races and has 5 out of 6 in the 600 mile Winnipeg to Wilmar CC race its just the riders.REALLY. When other brands sink far more money into racing then Cat does why aren't they winning. I hope you believe your statement! Its ride and handling and durability that wins cross country races.Power is the same between the different sleds and all companys attract good drivers.

Arctic Cat designed the engine. A multitude of vendors supply the various Arctic Cat spec parts. The parts are shipped to St Cloud and the engine is put together there.

I guess i'm to dense on this one.

Since Textron is the parent company of Arctic Cat (Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. owns Arctic Cat) wouldn't you say the whole vehicle is a Textron? of course made of various vendor suppliers.

Same as saying a Chevy or a Buick is a GM vehicle as GM is their parent company. of course made of various vendor suppliers.

As a former racer, 10% product, 90% Individual. And those sleds, aint even close to stock. Tucker is real deal though. kinda like Ricky Carmicheal, didnt matter what he rode.

Most everything made is assembled from China sourced parts. Kymko, Hisun produce more parts than all the others combined. If you look into some of the Chinese motorsports they are made with more non china parts than the popular brands.
