Found someone to install in K-town so all good there.

YES HydroOne charges me $0.27/kwh (delivered including all f-U fees)...Its EXPENSIVE and not the solution I wanted: I had planned on utilizing a new this fall program from H1 that rebates up to $4k on an air source heat pump.

However local pricing for a system came in at $24k....thats NUTZ...

so, having been forced to remove my oil tank and furnace (thanks insurance co) I need a heat sorce for THIS WINTER.

The least expensive option (I've priced propane, yard furnace etc etc) was to pop an energy sucking electric furnace in and pony up about $600-$800 a month Nov-Mar for heat.

Is it ideal....NOT!

Plan for 2018 is a self installed ASHP mini split or two that can be bought on-line and cost about $3k each to heat during all but the coldest Wx.

Yup, I got several... they all wanted a double stainless tank...thats $4k installed and doesn't cure the constant PIA of the oil furnace breaking down... It was time to move on
