Well I had a 05 400 Polaris best ride in a quad hands down....saying that, I had 3000 miles on it and it was nickle and dimming me to death, it was brutal! Bought my 07 650i in 08 now have almost 7500km's and other then rear engine seals and front break pads, this bike has cost me next to nothing. Would I buy another Polaris... maybe, the 850 is catching my eye but it might be a RZR before that. Oh ya and I put my brute through way more then my Polaris.

What do you mean it has cost you next to nothing? you are putting new tires on that thing every 2 weeks! If i was biased I would say to just buy a Canam but maybe you will find some tires someday that feels like your driving a Canam. Lol

Shoe: I cant afford the canned ham either. I got my kawi for 8600 new with a warn winch installed and some other treats so i couldn't pass it up. You don't owe me a beer and in fact you've earned my respect. It takes a big man to stop what was headed for an argument and you beat me to it. Hopefully we can meet up some day for a ride and put a face to the name. I'd love to hear about your Polaris, that was kinda the point of the thread- good ole smack talking! I really liked the candy bar post!

Anyways, have a good one. Hopefully we will meet on the trails.

HAHA surprised it took you this long to post! Dam you Yamaha guys !!! My first ever quad was a USED 2005 Polaris 700. Drove awesome the first 3 rides and I kid you not I was towed home every other ride after that. It got so bad I had to get ride of it so I bought a NEW 09 Brute 750 drove it hard for the last 2 years and I've seen my fair share of issues, but at least I don't get towed home every ride lol

It does come down to maintenance AFTER the ride, I spend 2 to 3 hours cleaning after every ride taking wheels off, checking diff oils, checking wiring connections etc. You just can't ride water and mud all the time without something biting you from behind.

If Yamaha made a 1000 V-twin I'd be all over it, but they don't so the Kawasaki is the next best animal for me anyway. I do love the Can Am power but I'm not going into that ball of wax just yet . . .

Great thread. Humor, knowledge and bantering. Way better than reading the paper. Don't know what took you so long LE to post. Keep riding people.

Hmmm....on our last company ride I watched five guys push one Yammi through a bad mud hole by hand.

Guess what pushed my quad through?
My throttle thumb!

Here is an excerpt from the Polaris site:

At Polaris we make the most fuel efficient quads on the planet. We also use the finest materials available for our front mounted tow straps. Simply attach your sportsman to any Kawisaki quad and watch your mileage roll on UP!
