Polaris Book Value

Can any of the dealers give me a book value on a 2008 Orange Sportsman 800?

My cousin bought one for 5000 and now MPI wants to charge her tax on like 8200 dollars or something stupid...

Isn't a new 800 going for around $8000?

Thanks, Shane

I feel your pain, when I bought my 05 800 for 5K, MPI made me pay taxes on 6250 as they said that was the value.

Just picked up an outlaw, got a great deal and paid tax on $6800. And you can bet if the quad gets written off mpi wont pay out the taxable value. The only good news is now there is something to fight with.

ahhhhhh....the joys of dealing with MPI....they have one book saying its worth $8200.00 for tax purposes.....have an accident with the quad and see what its worth in their "otherbook" when they have to pay out a claim....shysters..........

Once again, it isn't MPI on this. It is Manitoba Taxation. They are horrible to deal with and get to make all their own rules, nobody above them to say "no, kids you have to play fair".

Just wait until they sneak through an HST and we get to pay more tax on more items and then they can point at the feds and say "it wasn't our idea".
