No doubt that Suzuki built a very reliable motor. Hopefully the CTek 800 is as reliable. I might have to ride an Arctic Cat mountain sled again.

they may be a dirty 800 but oil is still cheaper than pistons. I hope that the new 800 is as reliable as the old zuki. One of the most reliable two strokes ever.

I don't think so. Been pretty decent on fuel. Especially this year. Never even moved it!

I can't understand the reference to dirty as this engine burns real clean.Seldom do you need to change plugs etc. or is this another attempt at being derogatory.I am getting pretty tired of this negativity.

I think he's refering to the old 800 zuke, which wasn't epa compliant and was a smoker lol. It's a great engine. I wouldn't take "dirty" as negative. It's just a way of expressing that it's old school ,non epa and lasts forever lol

The term dirty means not a clean as the SDi or DI your son was riding in the mountains. Saw he had a smile from ear to ear. Negative not at all just an expression. I think it was the best motor Cat had even better than the 4 strokes.

You sir are so wrong, yes they are the best two stroke engine as evidenced by their longevity but to say they are better then the 4 strokes is absolutely absurb!!!!We see over 30000 miles on some 4 strokes and in most conditions they out live the rest of the chassis depending how they are ridden. We have a lot of the turbo four strokes with a mild boost putting out 220-240 horsepower without a problem so much for your comments.Talk about those things you know something about.

I don't think which engine is better is objective unless you outline specific criteria. 2 stroke vs 4 stroke is apples to oranges when you're saying better or worse. Longevity and durability and power? Hands down the turbo 4 stroke. Ease of maintenance, weight, and functional angles (ability to be operated on its side for long periods of time, critical to those who are into carving the snow or boon-docking which results in sled rollovers which means if you're running 4 stroke, you have to let it sit upright for a bit before getting it running again, 2 stroke might not even die to begin with)? 2 stroke takes it easily.

Wow. A polaris guy complementing arctic cat and Bob is still cranky. It was Peter Rabits opinion. Thats it. And he didnt say either motor was bad.
