I don't have much experience but my advice would be to get something cheap at first because it will crash. I have a few cheap drones from Costco and they are a lot of fun....and they've hit the ground and trees quite a few times. My daughter's boyfriend is into the more expensive ones (he won't let me fly any of them) and he deals with Cellar Dwellar on Main. I've been there a couple times. Didn't buy anything yet, but did get a lot of info ,great guys to deal with.

I would go to eliminator RC and ask them. They may have ones that they stock parts for, and that might be important.

Cellar dweller is where I'd go, eliminator sells you wrong parts and sticks it to you because of their no return policy.

I've bought from both Cellar Dweller and Eliminator, and both are great service. I find Eliminator has way more selection and parts in stock. It's a much larger store.

I was selling a used RC truck and Eliminator told the guy that was interested that the motor was probably seized because it sat for a year unused. I had the truck running the next day and sold it to someone else. The kid (Ryan) had a big attitude the one time I did walk into that store. They won't get my money.

Celler Dweller doesn't have the stock like Eliminator but they know there stuff and will talk with you for as long as needed explaining the ins and outs of things. They also won't sell you something they don't think you can handle. Like I said much more professional.

TRX 500 I know someone on another forum that just posted a Phantom for sale. If you have been looking you know they aren't cheap. I think he wants $600 for a $2000 drone. If you are interested PM me and I will get his contact info.

Depends how much you want to to spend and what you want it to do. There are dozens of helicopters out there that are largely toys in the $50.00 to $150.00 range that you fly manually and available in practically any department store or electronics store. If you want a true drone that has a high res camera that records and and transmits back to the controller and flies autonomously by GPS that puts you into the $1,000 to $1,500 range.

By far the most popular and quality line is the DJI Phantom series. I have a DJI Phantom Advanced that is a blast and it has a 2.7 K camera as good or better than a GoPro and 20 minutes flying time and you can punch it out of sight into the clouds if so chose (not supposed to) and fly it a mile or two away and back. There is also the Phantom Standard for a couple of hun less. Look these up on YouTube there are a ton of video reviews and demos. Best Buy has sales on these often for a great price.
