Bad situation, very lucky nobody was killed. Trucker was in a hurry to go nowhere. Dirty storm.

Ummmm I mean yeah be cautious in the weather but those sleds were clearly on a paved highway! I can't see how it's the truckers fault. He would have had to have been going awfully slow to avoid those sleds... Anywho thankfully nobody was killed. Looks awfully sickening watching that video!!?

If there were people already stranded, you'd think guys would have been going a lot slower, especially since he was passing another stopped rig on the road..
From the article:

"The lifelong snowmobiler was out delivering fuel, food and blankets to drivers stranded on the highway by a winter storm when his snowmobile spun out into the road, he said. He didn't see the semi coming as it barrelled towards him through the blowing snow.

"We turned to go back up the other side [of the road] just to make sure everyone was still OK, and, next thing [I] know I kind of spun out on the road and then, semi hit me," he said."

I was mistaken I thought it happened east of Winnipeg! I do believe the highway was closed out west so not sure what will happen to truck driver.

the "spin out" doesn't look too accidental. Glad the sled driver will be ok

"kind of spun out" LMFAO. The video clearly shows him playing around, cranking the bars and hitting the gas while his buddy is stopped in the middle of major highway. Anybody that's ridden a snowmobile for more than 15 minutes knows that maneuver.

Hopefully the sledders got charged as well. They broke just about every law regarding crossing a highway with an ORV.

The road was closed....The truck driver will face a number of charges.... He is lucky the guy on the sled wasn't killed... Sleds were kinda dumb playing around on the road but I'm sure they weren't thinking a truck would be coming. I believe the sleds were helping emergence crews and checking on stranded vehicle's. So no they won't be getting charged.... They were supose to be the only ones on the road.

Trucker was going way to fast IMO , Even if he didn't hit someone , his speed was inappropriate for passing the the people on the side of the road in those conditions.
This Billy Big Rigger gives real professional drivers a bad rep.

Does it say how fast the semi was going? Or are we assuming. Now. Either way highway was closed but who's to say he wasn't already on the Rd after it was closed? Lots more to this story. Video shows a lot of facts but there are also obvious unknowns. And I agree 100% that spin out was no accident. Sledders were not expecting a semi on the highway??!! It's a highway. I would say more likely that the trucker wasn't expecting sleds on the highway!!

The guy driving the truck must be a rock hauler in the Stonewall area driving highway#7 everyday.

99% of those guys should not be allowed to drive!

Given the sleds didn't blow into 1000 pieces of plastic, I don't actually think he was anywhere near highway speeds. Won't even try to guess but that was my first thought. Any high speed collision on a sled and you usually see plastic fly everywhere...

Either way, scary chit!
