As the title says I have a 91 Indy trail in decent shape needs some TLC it has different seat on it it has electric start no battery in it I have not had it fired up since last year I don't have time to work on it I was wondering what people thinks it worth as is ? I realize it not a $1500.00 sled just wondering

Had 2 of them for quite a while. In decent shape. One had 1200 original miles, the other one 2300 miles. Both long tracks, with reverse, 488 fans. 91 and a 92. Sold them both two years ago. Sold fast and I got $1700 for each sled to two different people. Only took a week. Don't listen to low ball offers unless it's completely trashed. Those sleds are becoming very popular since the snowmobile industry decided to make every dam sled 10 grand and up.

You will never beat those sleds for reliability. Period.

$1700, you are lucky someone paid that much for a 27 year old sled.....For $500 more you can buy a 2000-2003 polaris 600 edge (bulletproof engine, far better suspension) and have all the parts available for it if needed from the dealer.

If that sled has the 133 track, as far as i know, they don't make those tracks anymore. Engine is great for a 488f, but all the other parts of the sled are getting hard to come by.

Oh I upgraded to a new 550 LXT Polaris utility sled. It has all the amenities and is a Cadillac to ride. However, in hind sight, I've only put 75 miles on in 2 1/2 seasons.....leading me to believe that I could've kept those old pocket change sleds for another 27 trouble free years!

Yeah, sounds exactly like mine on kijiji. If you managed to get 800 for it not running, that's pretty darn good. Not sure the shape it was in, but mine were spotless and needing nothing ready to go. Had each one gone literally in hours of advertising. I think you did well, considering it wasn't a running sled.

Thanks it like JB said people know what they are looking for if I had the time I would have pulled it in my shed for the winter and cleaned all up and running great again but with my track record it would still be sitting in the same spot in yard in 3 years from now lol just glad someone going to do something with it he was comfortable buying as I showed him every thing to my knowledge thanks again everyone but what I think is the best out of this thread Winslow is that your dad at the age of 82 is still on a machine that is awesome
