Exclamation 1984 honda atc 200s No Spark?

hey guys just wondering if anyone can help me with my trike. It has no spark, i've replaced the spark plug cap, spark plug, and spark plug wire. Made sure the gap on the plug was set right. Also how do you check if the coil is good? im not to sure on how to do that. Any help would be awesome cause this trike is a blast to rip around on. If I get it to run I might even sell it for around $700 if anyone is interested

Stator coil! You have a Multimeter? Set it to Ohms ,must test between 150 -400 Ohms.

Also check all the wiring. I had one of those ages ago, all the wiring from the switches go thru the headlight. I tried for ages to get mine running after a bud borrowed it for a fishing trip, turned out, a wire pulled free when he strapped something to the headlight....fired right up after I found it.

I just replaced my stator coil, fires up on first pull all the time now. Had the same problem, no spark, had to pull start it to get it going all the time. Anyway, you can get a replacement at Woodland Small Engine Repair up No. 6 Hwy. PH# 204 383-5362.

Well if you roll the motor over very slowly you can feel the spark through your fingers. Just roll it over slowwwwwwly. It may hurt a bit. Also the pule generators tend to go on them. The cover on the head that says cdi.

if ur bike is like my 84 200s. then when u go to buy a new stator if u chose too. do not buy the whole stator cause mine was like 200 bucks so what i did is looked on the stator u have 2 coils one is for light and the other is ur fire. what the cheapest way is too take the firing one off the stator and get on ebay and buy a new coil instead of a whole stator. i just hopped on ebay and found the piece i needed and only spent 25 bucks instead of 200. so there ya go bud.

Is a 250x a quad? And fork seals are still availible from Honda $25 each. Also let me guess, The head is blown on the blown engine (most people put the oil filter in backwards!) Is he doing anything with the blown one?
