Best way to carry extra gas

Vinnie,

What do you recommend for someone who regularly hauls 2*20L of gas to the cottage via ATV and would also like to carry 10-20L on the ATV while using tracks?

Summer is not bad as I trailer the ATV all the way there and put extra gas in the trailer with the ATV. Winter it's ATV only.

So far I just strap the 2-20L scepter red jerry cans on the rear rack. Problem is that takes allot of space. I thought a gas holder off the back would be good, but what other good solutions are there?

Thanks,
J.

not sure what type of machine you have, i bought myself a baggage carrier that attaches to the 2" receiver on the truck originaly. i end up using it more on my arctic cat to go hunting, i`ve loaded quite a bit of fuel on it too, 2 10 liter jerry cans plus a boat fuel cell on it. I had purshased it at princess auto for 90$, it was worth it. that could help if you have a 2" reiceiver.

I have the Kolpin Fuel Pack Jr. - 1.5 gallons - mounted to my lock & ride cargo box. Ordered from Royal Distributing but Vinnie might be able to beat their price.

If you have a seat on the back of your quad a 5 gallon can fits nicley there just strap it down... vinie can also get the larger kolpin fuel packs which I have used before as well.

Quite honestly, post how much YOU would like to carry extra and I'm sure Vinnie could set you up quite nicely. He is "in" with many suppliers and could get the setup you need to get you through your trip for a reasonable price.

I bought a couple of gas can carriers from Princess Auto for $ 19.00 each and adapted them to the exiting push bar. This photo shows just one mounted but now I carry one on each side.

The best way i've found to carry extra gas is to scarf down a couple cans of beans on the trail, and in no time at all you'll have all the gas you need!
