Pretty sure its around $200 a ton at Mandack in Selkirk. Gonna take a car there in the next 2 days, so I'll post what I get for it.

I was chatting with the local landfill custodian today and he says the landfills are getting picked over after hours pretty good by people looking for copper, aluminum, batteries and anything of salvageable value. He says a scrap battery is selling for $ 8.00.........

So I took in the wifes old 97 merc Sable to Mandack this morning and got $314.00 for it. $200.00 a ton or $.10 per pound. 3140lb it weighed in at.

So not sure if Mandack scale is off, but be aware of the weifgt of the vehicle you bring in. My Sable weighed at 3140 about 6 weeks ago and my Dad took one in for scrap today and filled with scrap metal and it only weighed in at 2200lbs. Somethings fishy there! And my bros took in a Jeep Cherokee and only weighed in at 2300lbs! Ford website ,3380 for that Sable.

General scrap will prob be closed now for a bit.....looks like she's going up in flames from all the smoke coming from there...unless they got it under control. News says she's a blazin fire there.
