Better Aftermarket Brakes

Does anyone know if a company came out with a better brake pad than the factory brakes that came out on the 2012 Can Am Outlanders? I'm on my 3rd set of replacement brakes and it's getting ridiculous that I have to change my brakes so much already this year

Try Ebc severe duty or something with large brass content.

I second the vote for EBC severe duty pads. Long lasting and better stopping power.

I think if you ride lots of mud and sandy water conditions nothing will last. I ride mainly trails and small amounts of mud, I wash out my breaks real good after each ride and my stock pads on my 06 800 outlander Max lasted for 32,000kms and could have went longer, though I hardy use breaks just let engine break slow me down.

my first set of brakes last 280 km, they didn't even make it till the first service light came on, on my bike. I do alot of valley and hill riding as I livve near the Qu'Appelle Valley in Saskatchewan but not enough to wear them down this fast. The brakes on my old grizzly lasted 3 years riding the same way as my Can Am

EBC pads are the best I have used and feedback on them from customers has been great. Note that you should always clear out the debris building up in the calipers. It wouldn't hurt to clean the pistons in the caliper once a year as well, you will need caliper seal kit from CAN-AM when doing this. Change fluid once a year as well doesn't hurt. Do your wheels have lots of drag when you spin them while on a stand, if so your pistons may not be retracting all the way into the caliper causing this problem of early wear.

Cheers
Danny

EBC severe duty is by far the best... they out last polaris by 2-3 times forsure. i put some on a can am and now it seems to have a sorta brake growl right before coming to a stop, not a big deal really but definitely worth the money and probably cheaper then from can am
