Polaris coil tests
I need a little help. If have a friend with an 04 sportsman 700 efi. He has no spark. I need help testing the coil. The manual says what I should be reading for the primary and secondary. Primary ohms out fine but I couldn't get anything on secondary. .
I told him his coil was bad but wasn't 100% sure so I tested mine on my 09 xp850. I have the book too and know what I should be reading. The same thing is happening where the primary reads fine but I get nothing on the secondary. By nothing I mean infinity. I've tested almost every combination with respect to the secondary. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Can anyone help. He wants to sell his machine but we gotta fix this no spark problem.  Thanks
