call Apple directly and you can buy one from them for under $200...will be the same model as she already has (they won't let you upgrade). My son has done it a few times

Thats only if she already have an iphone that is broken. You cant go in there and buy a refurbished iphone for 200 unless you physically have a broken one to trade in.
