LOL. What I do see though and this video really shows it is how bad the gade under steers. Some of the corners he had bars cranked and delayed the turn. This has been my gripe with mine.

If you are willing to invest the time/money to correct the understeer I would suggest swapping out the front diff for the 2010 QE model. My 2010 QE outty steers a sh*t load better than my 2012 gade and still locks up quickly when needed. I personally felt the calibration was perfect in 2010, not sure why they went more aggressive for 2012.

I already have one of those money pits. Can't afford to run two. I think it is a much simple fix actually. The bottom arm on the steering stem needs to be .25-.5" longer which effectively gives more sweep and better turning radius. It would help a lot.

Let me know if you get around to doing this mod, if it works I would not mind trying it. I do think at least on my machine that most of the problem is that the front diff is locked almost instantly when the wheel speed changes between the outside and inside tire, causing the tires to push instead of turn

You are right. That is half of the problem. The qe locks in 2wd making the outside tire pull. Since it is on the larger radius it pulls the bigger circumference. If I can get the outside tire to pull a tighter radius it should make the circumference smaller and becomes less noticeable when it is the drive tire.

That was painful. Anyone can use the grab bar as a wheelie bar on a renegade. If he takes off the grab bar then I'll be impressed.

I ordered one of these up and I will send it to a welding shop to modify it as you are suggesting. I think you are on the right track, the wheels do not seem to turn as sharply as the older models. They probably limited the turning radius to cut down on CV joint claims.

It does not truly lock solid but there is enough pressure bring applied by the visco to the inside tire to make it slip and spin at or near the same speed of the outside tire during a sharp turn. 2wd or 4wd does not make much difference. This effects turning radius.

Let me know how you make out. I just don't have the time to mess with it. You may need longer tie rods as well.
