WTB - 1852 Jon Boat

I am thinking of upgrading my current duck rig with a bigger engine, but I need a bigger hull for that engine.

Preferably I can buy an 1852 flat-bottom jon boat with a tall transom and 24" sides.

Anyone out there have one that doesn't leak and that is for sale?

Alternatively, does anyone know of any sources in or around Winnipeg where I can get my hands on one? The engine will likely be here on Friday and I would like to have a hull lined up to put it on before I pull the trigger on this purchase, especially if I trade in my current rig.

off topic but what kind/size of engine are you getting? What kind of rig are you looking to trade in/sell?

The engine is a 27HP Pro Drive with full power reverse. It is Three or fours years old (I forget which year I bought it) and has about 130 hours on it.

It currently sits on a 1648 MV Lund jon boat.

The rig runs really well, and if I was just hunting ducks/geese I would not need any more than that rig. I can run in about an inch of water as long as the bottom is relatively soft mud.

My issue is that it doesn't get up on plane with a moose in it and I hunt in areas that have some pretty skinny water.

I am moving up to a larger engine on a bigger hull - a rig that is proven to easily haul a moose and still get up and go.

What kind of engine are you going with? I may be interested in the Pro-drive Lund.

I am getting a 36HP Pro Drive and putting it on a 1852 hull.
