Not surprised at all the can am is that heavy. My 1000 has outlaws, windshield and HD lower bumper on it as well and it as an elephant to try move around. I would be curious as to the weights of some of the polaris quads compared to the can am. My king quads and vinson were quite a bit lighter. But once I added winch, bumpers, lift kit, storage bag, the weight is alot more than what the advertised dry weight is. in the skeg I could ***** foot my way across some pretty nasty stuff compared to the assumably heavier polaris. Maybe balance points were different? Since moving to alberta I dont hit the skeg like I used to so the heavier can am has had no real disadvantage. Tons of power and great ride.

In the end after accessories most quad weigh the same. Some quads come with heavier tires or accessories that other put on their bikes later on which equals everything out. There is a list of ATVs from back in the day that show the weights of all bikes as they are ready to ride full of fuel and gear.
