Am I being Scammed?

I got this reply to my ad,any suggestions on how to handle this or what to do or watch out for.Any car selling info or advice is appreciated as I haven't sold any big ticket item in years.

Happy to purchase at your asking price and do you have a PayPal account,as i will be paying the with PayPal and have pick up done from your location as i am away at the moment,so email communication would do best for now as well.In the meantime,can you send me some pictures?

Just from the grammer I would be suspicious. Add the fact they are agreeable with your asking price, seems they have decidied to buy, yet they want more pictures. Definatly not from Winniepg though, who buys anything at the asking price, even from retail stores! Not very familiar with paypal but isn't it supposed to be secure? Of course doesn't take long for someone to figure out how to scam anything now-a-days.

i think i read something some where about if you get paid by paypal and the buyer picks it up, they can claim they never got it and get their money back. if you don't have shipping doccumentation to show paypal its hard to get them to belive that the buyer came to pick up the item. you end up getting screwed?

SCAM from SCUM, got the exact same reply on my cargo trailer. Piss him off and just play with him send him a bogus pay pall acc or something .

Scam They are starting to work the smaller sites like portage online also. I had a shed for sale and The guy was going to pay with paypal. He asked for confirmation on my "last price". I told him it was $452000 US and payable only in Krugerands to be deposited in a Cayman Island account. If this was satisfactory I would dispatch an "associate" who would bring the required documentation and "assure" the proper transfer of funds. He never got back to me. I can't imagine why?

At the very least, anytime someone says "I'll pay with paypal" or "I'm having someone else pick it up" (unless I'm having someone else pick it up and they are bringing the cash) ignore it. No sense wasting your valuable time, even to screw with them.

Mt thinking was they could use their credit card to NSF payment after the fact.That and
"have pickup done from your location" made me immediately suspect SCAM.

So last night I get another one who tells me if I sign on,$500 deposit,they will guarantee sale for asking price as they have buyers lined up with pre-approved blah blah blah and I will get $$ back upon sale.The usual transfer to another dept. for a "confirmation# to take to bank for cashing cheque and the guy actually gets upset when I tell him I don't think so.Where do these dirtbags come from?Can't even sell a vehicle without someone wanting a piece of the action.Sheesh.
